One of the worst Little Owl pics we've ever seen. Posted out of our own sense of misguided generosity rather than any artistic or technical merit shown by the photographer. We hope the posting inspires him to send more....

Skylark singing at some sites today...spring is in the air?

Eastville Lake (Bristol):
The regular highlight species continue to show very well here. 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Nuthatch.

Boating Lake: 1 Greylag Goose.
Springfield Road: 1 Coal Tit, 4 Long-tailed Tit, 4 Blackcap.

Keynsham river Avon:
2 Egyptian Goose, Keynsham-Bitton stretch.

Newton St Loe:
2 Goosander, 4 Buzzard, 2 Kingfisher, 2 Fieldfare, 30 Redwing, 1 Nuthatch, 4 Bullfinch, 2 Yellowhammer (in the village).

Paulton:
2 Buzzard, 50 Skylark, 10 Blackbird, 1 Song Thrush, 50 Redwing, 4 Meadow Pipit, 1 Greenfinch, 2 Goldfinch, 40 Linnet.

Backwell Lake:
3+ Siskin, 3+ Redpoll.

Blagdon Lake:
1 Black-necked Grebe, 1 Mediterranean Gull.

Planet Chew:
Siberian Chiffchaff: 1 along the Bittern Trail, in dogwood by the fork in the boardwalk (Rich Mielcarek). It's the ringed bird.

16 Shelduck, 24 Goldeneye, 5 Goosander, 3 Little Egret, 1 Sparrowhawk, 25 Lapwing, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 30 Redwing, 2 Mistle Thrush.

The lake is full to overflowing and wellies needed to get to some of the hides.
